Le violon est né en Europe au XVIème siècle. Trois villes sont à l’origine de l’histoire de ce fantastique instrument : Füssen en Allemagne, Crémone en Italie et MIRECOURT en France.

Saint-Pierre et Miquelon, archipel français en Amérique du Nord, perpétue la grande tradition française de MIRECOURT, haut lieu de la lutherie internationale.

Avec la collaboration artistique de maîtres luthiers de France, s'est développé à Saint-Pierre et Miquelon un atelier d’art et de création de fabrication d’instruments uniques : violon, alto, violoncelle, contrebasse, guitare, dulcimer et psaltérion.

Les bois viennent de France (Jura et Vosges). Ces bois âgés de plus de 300 ans, sont secs depuis plus de 20 ans et apportent aux instruments une qualité rare.

Chaque instrument est numéroté, signé par son créateur et livré avec certificat.

The violin exists in Europe since the 16th Century. Historically, three cities are at the origin of this extraordinary instrument : Füssen in Germany, Crémone in Italy and MIRECOURT in France.

Saint-Pierre & Miquelon, a group of French islands in North America, is continuing today the great tradition of MIRECOURT.

A string instrument workshop opened in Saint-Pierre & Miquelon,  where unique instruments such as violins, violas, cellos, double-basses, guitars, dulcimers and psalteries are created following the pure French tradition.

The wood used in the making of the instruments comes from Jura and Vosges regions of France and is more than 300 years old. It has had a 20 year drying period giving the instruments an exceptional quality.

Each instrument is numbered, bears the signature of its maker and is delivered with an accompanying certificate.
